By all accounts there is a lot of love for Kev within Everton.

Well loved by everyone, apart from a succession of managers.

Sounds like he was a top lad off the field, but a pain in the arse to manage.

Probably the closest thing we've had to a maverick for years.

you mean over their careers ? no i don't tbh.
Jagielka was a much better player at their ages.
i can remember him playing rb for Sheffield utd , he was pretty damn good.
Jagielka has never been anything more than a run of the mill centre back, hence his career has been limited to Sheffield United and Everton...there's never been a queue forming from the top clubs for his services. He was capped by England, in an England side that couldn't win a game of Connect 4.

Crikey O'Reilly.....you must have some absolute Cu-cu's in the team if Sulky Kev gets that kind of welcome.

Different culture over here. Olympiacos always builds its team around attacking players. A boring 1-0 win with only a few chances will be met with boos in Piraeus. 2 games in a row like that? Even thought they are victories? Coach usually gets sacked. They want high scoring games with plenty of chances. Olympiacos fans adore attacking players who take on defenders the way some Everton fans perhaps adore a moderately talented but hard working and professional type of player who doesn't get emotional. Greeks are already emotional - they almost expect it! lol Stealing someone's penalty has happened a few times at Olympiacos and we always give the player a chance to apologise and redeem himself on the pitch. No point starting vendettas against the most talented players in the squad - only if they refuse to run or don't try..

Will be interesting to see if the fans can bring out the old Mirallas. He was fantastic. I think Everton should have perhaps released him at least a year earlier for all parties. Olympiacos have been trying to get him back for almost 3 years and Everton have been very monosyllabic whenever negotiations were attempted. Very taciturn.

We'd like a few attacking and entertaining players...unlikelynwith Sam and Sam at the helm. Good luck for the rest of the season
