Minor things that make you happy

When a trip on a pavement turns into a jog.I witnessed one in work today a fella in his mid thirties was walking down the road then had a trip on the walkway and it was a full trip his head was down and he managed to turn it into a jog quite expertly, but it wasn't a couple of yards worth of jog it was a full 25 yards, which got me to thinking how far do you have to jog?

The ignore function.

I’ve just realised that if you put the thread originator on ignore then you can ignore entire threads.

Sorry @marsh mate, I just couldn’t be bothered seeing that Lukaku thread constantly at the top of the forum every day.

Might sound a bit sad but over the past two months or so me and another manager have tried to implement a more ‘holistic’ (not sure that’s the right word) approach to management, organising employee awards of the month with cash rewards amongst other things, and generally trying to listen more to the guys on site and chatting with them when they’re struggling. Seeing the results is very satisfying, lads and lasses working hard but enjoying themselves. They seem to give that extra 5-10%. It’s made me quite proud but I also feel like a tit for writing this at the same time.
I wouldn’t feel like a tit mate that’s commendable work.

I work in a small studio that specialises in lifestyle, wellness and holistic approach towards exercise and training mostly catered towards general and older population apart of the role is doing consult work for various different work sites ect.

Can tell you right now a happy employee base is a better work place. productivity increases, less likely to loose employees and you have a better vibe around the place.

The best functioning work places I see are ones where employers look out for there staff and have a holistic approach towards life.

Cheers mate.

I think it’s harder to achieve an environment like you’ve described above but the rewards can far outweigh that effort.
