I have this battle daily with my kids (nuffink, anyfink). I'm from Wigan now living in Southend, so I know I'm fighting a losing battle, as that's how all the kids seem to speak round here.When people say somethink, anythink, nothink. THERE'S NO K FFS!
Problem is that the teacher is just as bad, and apparently says stuff like 'we was...', which I cannot stand.
What I don't understand is why Essex folk cannot make the 'th' sound, opting for 'f' instead. Other than sheer laziness, why do they do this?
