let the boss have your case, and all you need is 2 t-shirts, a short sleeved shirt, 2 pairs of shorts, travel in your trabs, and footwear for the beach. do that in hand luggage (sun block!). problem solved. anything else you buy there if you need it.

This serves a secondary purpose, not being able to go to the fancy restaurant 'cos you've not got your top hat and tails.
