minor things that make you fume

That's hilarious, I'm crying. Thank you Gwlad.

It annoys me that people use escalators as an excuse not to continue walking, as they would on stairs.

I appreciate that some users have mobility issues and may like to take a break, but it is frustrating when people stop on an escalator which is otherwise empty when they could be walking.

I should also note that I prefer taking the stairs.
If you get a train, do you tend to walk along / through the carriages until you get to your destination?

Yes, I do. Normally, I try to figure out which set of doors open closer to the escalators, depending on how long the train is.

My original comment was mainly in relation to places like shopping centres, however, as the issue I raised seems to be less prevalent in railway stations.

These training courses that require refreshers every two to three years and two full day to compmete.

Makes it worse when you are qualified to deliver the course yourself and have to listen to a facilitator talk nonsense.
It's epi-pen training for staff in schools. Always done during a lunchtime and always compulsory- every damn year - and it always took 30 minutes to tell you to jab a needle in the thigh and count to 10.

I used to joke, is it the same procedure, or have they changed it and do we now have to jab the needle into an eye now.

THEN they changed it to 6 monthly refreshers. Shortly after that I took early retirement. Too much faff and wasted time in schools ffs.
