minor things that make you fume

This is Tory Britain.

Look at the state of the roads. It’s getting to the stage where even main roads have huge problems now. When does it end?
I'm not even sure if people are littering more or the actual cleaning up is now put right on the backburner due to cost cutting, privatisation/outsourcing and efficiency "experts" who work out everything on a computer and ignore what the worker actually out on the street sees. The bane of every single public, or former public, service.

Can't remember the last time I saw any adverts such as "Keep Britain Clean" or anything like that. Those kind of campaigns, drink driving especially, do have an impact on attitudes over time. I remember the late 70's early 80's where littering was pretty common and not really thought about but by the end of the 80's it was really frowned upon after a few years of advertising and campaigns.

Just seems to be ignored now and left in the hands of charity or community campaigns. The typical political shirking of responsibility by hiding behind the excuse of "devolving power" away from Big Nasty Central Govt and "empowering" local communities. They probably see it as masterful economics to see more good souls like yourself out there with a binbag. The same way they use volunteers to fulfil support roles in the emergency services.

This is what I mean by this is Tory Britain. It’s clear to me that cuts have been made to everywhere except the richest of neighbourhoods. Pimlico and around that area in London is always looks nothing less than spotless.

I started doing litter picks by myself but I got too angry to do it frequently. I know my limits. Also doing the governments work for them doesn’t really sit right with me. But it’s the public that suffer.

It’s not just a British thing tbf. Someone just dumped a mattress and bust up couch in the car park next to me. Will sit there until someone kicks up a fuss

Is it just me, or is littering getting worse? Or is it that councils aren't doing anything about it any more due to cuts.

Down in London it's an utter dump. The A406 is the busiest road in the country and it's caked in litter. Old mattreses lie on the carriageway for months at a time. It is basically just one expensive dump, save for a few of the exclusive post codes such as Knightsbridge and Mayfair etc.

I can't go for a walk in the countryside in Heswall now without seeing loads of litter and it boils my piss. Since lockdown the amount of people visiting has increased hugely. I did a litter pick down at a local car park lately and filled a whole Tesco bag with crap. A week later it was back to

I'm at the stage now where if I see someone littering I'm going to have to say something for my own peace of mind. Don't even care if I come across weird.
I feel the same.

Saw some bloke pushing an Asda trolly on town the other day, he then decided to just leave it and mince across the road to a shop. I hand to wind down my window and tell him he picked an awesome place to dump the trolly, especially when Asda is a 5 min walk away.

He said he was just going into a shop first and then was taking it back to Asda. I drove round the block like a proper creep to see if he was telling the truth. He did in fact take the trolly with him.. BUT came put if the shop empty handed, so could of been talking utter crap in the first place.

There seems to be a weird amount of roadkill on the roads (well were else would it be?) right now. Like loads of birds for some reason.

It doesn't make me fume as such, it's just a bit weird.

They’re releasing too many game birds. They’re bred from chicks then released for rich people to get together and shoot. Should be regulated more but game keepers are a law to themselves.
It’s a driving hazard. Had my window smashed before.

I'm the same, especially with hi viz whoppers or North facers. I'll be knifed to death within 3 months I reckon and not even properly disposed of, the final insult

My PC getting slower and louder. Even the simplest tasks, such as opening a browser window, lead to an onset of whirring and clicking from the hard-drive and a ridiculous wait. It's too old to to make arseing around checking and replacing stuff worth it economically it's easier getting a new one as I don't need high end specs..

But the absolute ball-ache of installing and setting everything up again on a fresh system just means I'll persist with this frustrating heap.

I did a litter pick down at a local car park lately and filled a whole Tesco bag with crap. A week later it was back to a tip again. It's always the same stuff; soiled tissies, nappies, juice boxes, masks, doggie bags, basically being dropped by mums and their army of kids in their Audi SUVs. The ecology of the Heswall Dales is fked because of the amount of dog poo people aren't picking up.

I saw someone had lashed the remains of a McDonalds meal across my road last night. So some tit has driven 6 miles from the nearest one to sit in a place with a nice view, just to lash his meal 5 metres from a bin. I try not to let it ruin my mood, but it really angers me.

I see people dropping McDonald's bags out the car window sometimes at the traffic lights. It really is selfish. It's not hard just to carry it inside and put in the bin is it?
