those stupid prove youre not a robot things where you have to click on all the traffic lights or all the road crossings. They do my head in, half the time you cant tell what it is anyway.
There must be an better way....couldn't it just tell you to type a certain 3 letter word, would take 2 seconds

I've been desperately trying to find a way to answer the question "are you a robot" with a resounding "yes!" no luck so far....

They do have those type of "Captchas" as well. Trouble is they have to make the word all squiggly, non uniform and weird to throw off any bots and it's a much bigger pain in the backside than clicking pictures. And automated text recognition has come on quite a bit so it's probably not fit for purpose anyway.

Captchas are a pain but a fairly small price to pay compared to how things were done pre-internet.
