Can’t stand those ‘heros’ who come in to work when they’re ill and spread their germs everywhere. They act like they’re a real asset to the company for turning up.

Unfortunately it's still seen as a badge of honour to drag yourself in and as such has become part of the culture in some places.

I place I used to work at, continued to allocate work to you when you were off sick, so you'd come back to a monster backlog so no one went off unless it was serious.

In the Winter, the office would resemble a Lemsip advert.

I do apologise for finding this annoying. I thought it was respectful to spend a few moments thinking about the men and women who have lost their lives serving their country. I must be getting old.
