..I can understand it. I’m not a wine drinker but I always have it on my outbound flights regardless of the time. It’s not a pleasant taste but it’s just what I do. Folk work hard for their holidays, as long as they are not being a nuisance it’s perfectly ok.

The wife was doing some gardening and found 15 socks that the dog had buried, this is after finding 8 buried socks a couple of weeks ago.

When I went away on a golf holiday I couldn't believe how busy the bar at the airport was at 5am. It was heaving. We all had 3 or 4 pints before the flight as it was the start of the holiday. Great fun.

What about half five? In all seriousness, as @Eggs mentioned it's the relaxed holiday mentality as the norms are gone and you're able to fully relax.

Not so good when you've drank a fair few pints prior to going to the gate, to then find you're then delayed so drink a fair few more and forget even flying.
