Don’t see what a bit of fan excitement for the first investment in 20 years has to do with the boards failings leading us to this position.
Honestly there’s nothing more tiring than this peddled line ‘if some fans etc.’. If it was to be believed Ross Barkley would be playing like Messi, Lukaku would still be here, we’d have a perfect derby record, Martinez would still be in charge, if only it wasn’t for those pesky negative fans, or is fans now being too positive that’s the problem? Or are you asking us to be positive? Which is it?
Or maybe it’s not the fans.
Perhaps the board manager and players are a little bit more responsible for what happens on the pitch than fans who may or may not be a bit too negative or positive about Everton.
