Don’t see what a bit of fan excitement for the first investment in 20 years has to do with the boards failings leading us to this position.

Honestly there’s nothing more tiring than this peddled line ‘if some fans etc.’. If it was to be believed Ross Barkley would be playing like Messi, Lukaku would still be here, we’d have a perfect derby record, Martinez would still be in charge, if only it wasn’t for those pesky negative fans, or is fans now being too positive that’s the problem? Or are you asking us to be positive? Which is it?

Or maybe it’s not the fans.

Perhaps the board manager and players are a little bit more responsible for what happens on the pitch than fans who may or may not be a bit too negative or positive about Everton.

I actually got my hopes up and thought the silver haired god had applied again.
ANYONE but BFS

(I've still got a 3' x 2' autographed framed drawing of Mike Walker somewhere. Supafan me lad!)

Nothing wrong with being positive at all, just that we need to add some patience. Instant success is rare, but yet some expected it.

Sometimes you have to take a bad road in life to acheive a happy place.

That's debatable

Today we are in a bad spot.

But, the Everton youth system is bringing through players who are acheiving success at their age groups and getting recognition by involvement at international level for their age groups.

New ground in the near future.

Once we get out of this bad spot, we have a bright future to look forward to.

If I'm honest, I don't recall too many people being overly excited by the Mike Walker appointment. Pity he wasn't as brilliant as he thought he was; we could have dominated for years had that been the case.
