MICK BUCKLEY RIP

Abiding memory of Mick was in that semi-final at Maine Road. Early in the game, he absolutely flattened Tommy Smith. We knew what we expected to happen next, but Smith never got near him all game.

..smashing player. My memory is him scoring the only goal (I think) in a 1-0 victory at Southampton's old ground. We hadn't won their for an age, in fact hardly anybody won there in them days until Mick popped up with the winner. Sad news and fonly remembered.

Very moving. RIP, fella. I remember watching you at Goodison Park and then, when I went to university in the north east, at Roker Park.

Very sad....remember him fondly from when I first started going to the game. That Maine Rd semi sticks in my mind too. A tortured soul at rest RIP mick.
