He got 9 in 14 for Dortmund (and I refer you to those wetting themselves over Haller links if you want to give it “it’s a crap league), and better than 1 in 3 for Chelsea even though I’d imagine a large proportion of those appearances were as sub.

He’s young and already has PL experience. He plays with some of the best players in the world at international level. I personally think we’d be mad to pass him up at the reported price, and even at a price a few mil above it.

He plays with amazing players who set him up with chance after chance at international level. If you saw him at Chelsea he needed 4 chances to score a goal. If Calvert-Lewin had played upfront for Chelsea in those games he would have scored a fair few.
 
Big fan of how everyone says brands is the best DoF there’s ever been in the history of the world until the first time we try to sign a player they don’t rate, at which point it becomes absolute madness and there’s 10,000 better options.

Brands isn't trying to sign him, Chelsea are trying to shift their shoddy merchandise that nobody wants. Best of luck to Huddersfield or Cardiff or even Newcastle if they want to take a punt, but that shouldn't be where we're at.

Has Brands indicated that he is interested in Batshuayi?

Brands looks to have done a good job so far but I don't like the way people say "I dont particularly rate him, but if Brands likes him then that is good enough for me". People were saying the same thing when Martinez was chasing McGeady and Funes Mori etc.
