Best attacking action by any of our players tonight - was by Michael Vincent Keane
Not on him.It had to be you
He did, but a better player either a) wins it back, or b) is aware Tarkowsi isn't getting back and draws a foul. Not on him.
Just got back and at first I thought it was a hopeful long ball. Watching again it was a really good ball out. Keane got goal side and stood him up.
Tarkowski nowhere near Sesko despite a 5 plus yard start. Should have dragged him back on the halfway line and took a yellow (although it probably would have been a red for us).
Tarkowski is to blame. Tired of heaping his failures on others. He did, but a better player either a) wins it back, or b) is aware Tarkowsi isn't getting back and draws a foul.
Keane does neither.
Branthwaite tries a) and doesn't leave the situation without doing b). And that's why he has to play centre half over Keane, Keane is simply too meek and passive.
Keane definitely gave him too much space. He did, but a better player either a) wins it back, or b) is aware Tarkowsi isn't getting back and draws a foul.

I never said he wasnt to blame, he was too far forward and too slow getting back - 100%.Tarkowski is to blame. Tired of heaping his failures on others.
I think believing that Keane should have impacted that play differently, and saying he isn't a very good player is a bit contradictory.I never said he wasnt to blame, he was too far forward and too slow getting back - 100%.
But once the pass has been played I think it's only Keane that can directly impact the play.
So many at fault for the goal. If we have defenders in the box we should surely have more than Keane back on his own. Gana shouldn’t be in the wing and even if he was, should absolutely been experienced enough to not cross that ball. He’s always the one picking up balls cleared out of their box, he had gone walk about and no-one covered.
Just another pathetically soft goal caused by naivety and lapses in concentration same as every week at home. They took it well, but teams supposedly now focus everything on transitions, both attacking and defending. Dyche to be totally fair was quite big on that. We don’t lob a soft floaty ball into their box when we have only Michael Keane in the middle of the pitch and everyone else in their box.
Yup, agree. Would back him to be aware that we had left 3/4s of the pitch completely empty.Another question, since we're playing hypotheticals, that goal doesn't happen with Garner at CM imo.
Instead - he did nothing.I think believing that Keane should have impacted that play differently, and saying he isn't a very good player is a bit contradictory.
He is what he is, but expecting him as the last man back to put in a challenge on Mbuemo at the edge of the 18 is not reasonable. He'd get skinned or he'd be off for fouling him.
The only thing he could have done differently is to try and show him to the end line which may have cut off the pass, but then Mbuemo would have just run right by him.
I think a better CB would have kept up with Sesko. Probably would have read the play better. I think a better midfield and CB wouldn't have abandoned their positions in a 0-0 match.
I agree, Garner is great at reading the game and snuffing out danger, he'd almost certainly have been conscious that our two CB's were upfield and would have covered.Another question, since we're playing hypotheticals, that goal doesn't happen with Garner at CM imo.
