2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

by that logic you could say mykolenko is a great full back

also a third of our clean sheets came without keane (villa, forest, bournemouth)

keanes had us on the back foot all season, he put in some very good individual performances playing last ditch defending but the team had to play deep because of him and was weaker with the ball, other players form, noticeably tarkowski’s , dipped when playing with him

i don’t want reactive centre halves like him in the side, i want proactive ones like jb and job who can win the ball off, or prevent a ball getting to, a striker, and who can defend higher up the pitch

No mykolenko isnt but people on this forum cant have it both ways. If you're sitting there third with most clean sheets its not for no reason whatsoever. Facts and stats dont lie. Between the managers set up and as a group they've kept the goals against column low.
We all want what you want as does every fan of every club. But you also have to work with what you've got. The whole back line have done ok and keane deserves just as much praise for that. And god knows ive slaughtered him enough in the past.
