Could that shrieking, grinding, bone-shaking noise possibly be the sound of minds and opinions changing?

(I'm not trying to be smartarsed, by the way, because I've never defended him, and although my opinion of the guy wasn't as vitriolic as some, I was firmly in the 'drop him' camp.)

Makes many less rash decisions than Tarkowski. The difference is Keane often seems to get punished for them in spectacular fashion whereas Tarkowski gets lucky thus rarely making the highlight reel.

Thing is though that Branthwaite and Tarkowski worked consistently well as a partnership.

Playing really well it has to be said.

Crap at the start of the season, that’s 3/4 in a row now and one of his ridiculous goals to boot.

Pure confidence player, never seen anything like it really. Branthwaite should come back in but on this form it’s Tarkowski who drops.
That's the problem and why we need to move on. He is actually skilled and decent in the attack and distributing the ball. But he is a major factor in our slow start. When he is good he is good. If you can't coddle him, the mistakes come pouring out. I'm not lying when I say I would pay to see the Keane striker experiment if only for laughs, but he is legitimately a good offensive player.

There's definitely a case to be made for bringing him on up front if we are chasing a game late on
