He reffed it well and got one decision wrong.

He was always gonna pull anichebe up after he spoke to him.

It's not the first time Anichebe has be punished for "fouling" a keeper by doing nothing but stand in front of him this season.

You run that risk doing what he does. Not that he should, but just like shirt pulling in the box, some are given and some aren't. Some are harsh some are wrong.

thought he had a pretty good game besides that one miscue. He let the game flow, could have had more than a few yellows before Anichebe started it off. I like how when Super Kev threw Gerrard to the pitch he didnt even call it, his assistant did.

he didn't blatently cheat like ****tenburg, he reffed the game quite well, but made a couple of errors (which is only human). The bad thing is that he showed that he was very spineless in 1) awarding the free kick in the first place and 2) bowing down to gerrard whilst he hurled x-rated words at him. how a man with control to do something about that, just stands there and take it i don't know. needs to be kicked out of the game for sure, why don't the FA look at everything said to the refs and actually protect them is such situations and apply retrospective actions to the perpetrator?

there are much less cowardly ways for someone to tell the ref that he got it wrong.
shocking decision for our goal - no defending him on that ... but it was expected

He wasn't the man in charge today that's for sure.

His two assistants Carragher and Gerrard seemed to make all the decisions for him.

It wasn't the worst refereeing i've ever seen,or the best. I think he was "made aware" of Anichebe before the corner, saw Reina on the floor and assumed wrongly, it was a foul. I'm more disappointed at the performance as we should be beating teams below us.

I thought Moyes' post match comments - and facial expressions - handled the issue well. There is only so much you can say before starting to look biased.

I honestly think the ref knew it wasn't a foul and crapped out of the correct decision. I should be a lot angrier but truth be told, I'm just used to it against them. Sad that.
