For the way Newcastle set up I thought Carroll was bloody superb. As a defender you ain't gonna win many headers but what you have to make sure is that when he wins the header it doesn't actually go anywhere or do much damage.

For the large part of the game we done that really well. A fit Carroll is a quality target man.

I've got literally 0.0% confidence in him. Even his face during the games says "I'm terrified"

Cannot build anything like a defence around him... Have to get a replacement for him in the next few weeks if we are to build anything like a challenge for Europe
