This guy has been utterly abject this season.

He, Pickford and Sigurdsson, costing close to 110m between them are getting into the starting elevens based off their price tags. That is the central plank of our side populated by three planks.

Funnily enough they are the three I just mentioned in another thread as being liabilities.

Sadly, Michael Keane cannot be moulded into something...anything...beautiful.

At least @4737carlin loves Michael Keane but im not sure hes seen the movie Ghost for a fair comparison.


Id be amazed if he was still considered a selection option by the end of Jan. Pity we didnt get Rojo.

Great point. Connolly is like 6" shorter than Keane, at minimum. He would have had to make a superb first touch to either pivot perfectly to get a shot away, or make a brilliant pass. Both scenarios where Keane could have just simply played defense as a normal CB would and likely break up the play.

He's a lump of clay.

Think, in a very short space of time, he's gone from first choice centre back to quite possibly third choice.

Holgate's extra mobility complements Mina a bit better in my opinion. And Mina is the first name on the team sheet at the moment (once he's fit anyway).
