Whatever happened to getting behind one of your own?

The problem is not us getting behind him, but every other team's attacking players getting behind him.

And I quite like him and think that he can do the job asked of him because he has shown it from time to time. But he's not in a position (and Everton certainly aren't) to allow him to work through a bad patch for too long.

If he was in fact a clogger he wouldn't be so bad. Looks nervous of his own shadow,if he grew a pair he might be worth a place in the squad at least.

Can't deal with target men style forwards because they bully him.

Can't deal with pacey players because he's not mobile.

Not vocal or commanding despite his height and size advantages over most other players on the pitch.

He wouldn't get anywhere near the Burnley team. Probably be a bench warmer and be brought on in games where they enter the final 10 minutes and want to try to sure up the defence.

Keane was perfectly suited to Burnley because their back line sat very deep, so it was not often that the opposition could get behind it.
Mentally and physically he's not up to playing at the highest level. If things on the pitch get much worse he's not the type you'd want in the trenches with you.
