I fractured my skull, a bit more than a "hairline" tho. Shame for him, thought he was starting to pick himself up in some ways under Silva.

And, if he fractured his skull, he has a concussion. Theres almost no way that he doesn't. And concussions are nasty. In the NHL players are out for seasonS(note the plural) with them. And, just like hamstring issues, once you get them you are more susceptible to getting them again.

Brings it back round to the discussion there. There really needs to be better protocol for head injuries in football. THANKFULLY Silva was a tit and never thought to make substitutions yesterday so we still could bring on Zouma. I think there should be some sort of sub that doesn't count when a player gets a head injury and is carried off the pitch like that.

Good news.

He has played well in the opening few games. Still concerns over his game but he is working to improve.

Now Holgate and Zouma have the chance to impress.

I think like you once you’ve suffered a tbi you have something of a better understand of possible implications. As I said above it doesn’t mean Keane will particularly suffer any of them and you’d want to know if he’s had previous injuries or concussions but it’s not unusual in some cases for it to have a psychological effect , especially given the nature of his position on the field .

The main things are he seems positive in the tweet , he’ll have had and will continue to have top quality medical care and I’m sure be given the requisite time and support he needs . Let’s hope it heals as quickly as such injuries can and has as little impact as they also can have and all being well he’s back in full training as quickly as Joyce suggests .
