First game at Wolves we scored from a set piece. It was a free kick though, not a corner. Point I was making is that Keane seems to be winning most headers in both penalty areas; I'm sure only a matter of time before he scores again (he netted v Bournemouth).
There was something like 5 times last year he had a wide open header and didn't put it in. Chelsea being one iirc in the 90th minute. Hope he can start being a real threat, we haven't had anyone in defence like that since Lescott.

Happy to continue to be proved wrong about this lad.
Still have reservations and he’s no world beater thus far, but he has and continues to improve steadily under Silva’s tutelage.

Yeah, seems to be cutting out some of the silly mistakes too which is probably a confidence thing. Still makes the odd one but not as many as last season and he looks like he is the player we had at the very beginning of last season who looked quite good before he was dragged down by the rest. Long may it continue.

I don't like how he spills an easy ball to a corner (wasn't given) when not threatened. Good displays from him, but he still does these type of things and that makes me uneven.
Yeah that wasn’t cockiness as much as he dozed off a bit there. I saw that and he seemed to lose concentration for a second. It was one of those “I just had a skull fracture” moments

He supposedly had a bad gash (yer ma) on the top of his foot last season, which kept opening so didn’t heal properly. Could be why he was such a disappointment. With a fully working foot and Silva’s meticulous training, there’s a slim chance he might be better this year

Annnnnnnnnnnd, no.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd, we'll see. He's no world-beater, but he's getting better already IMO.

I still question his ability to defend quick players on the occasion that the team shape falls apart a bit and at some point that may cost us and cause his replacement. In the mean time we should try to build a cohesive backline on the back of these last two performances where we gave up 1 legitimate goal against two of the top 10-12 attacking teams in the league.

He had a shaky start for us, but how many defenders over the years has that happened to. I remember Palister at ManU, big buy, had a shocking first 6 months or so there. Keown did for us as well. Otamendi looked average at best for citeh. Not all come good but Keane is going in the right direction.

Chuffed for him. Looks settled with zouma, hes lost that rabbit in the headlights look he always seemed to have on his face. Keep it up, big test up next in the league with the pace of vardy.
