There is an article in the echo about how last season he had a foot injury and had to wear a boot on his bad foot that was two sizes to big for him.

Wasn't just a simple injury as well mate, got a really bad infection. The effects of which can last months, making you slow and lethargic, for anyone who has had such a thing. He's been very, very good in the main this season.

Not having that. The money they've had off me this week.

Its crazy to think there is an even a debate about turning down 50 million for Keane, he has been a lot more solid this season with the occasional howler thrown in just to remind us of last season, but if we do get offered that kind of money then we have to sell surely. More than adequate replacements can be found well within that budget. Even Holgate isn't a massive downgrade tbf.
Is this the Holgate who can’t get a game at RB in the championship

Rudiger and Sanchez would both fit that bill with recent purchases for well under 50m that did just that.
But they weren’t well under 50m and there was no guarantee that they would hit the ground running , its nearly always a gamble buying from abroad
Spurs also spent big money on Janssen and Chelsea have a list of foreign signings who flopped , the Russian CF whose name escapes me at the moment being one
