Zouma is rubbish. No idea why we indulge him. In my opinion the starting pair should be Mina and Holgate. Keane is trash and Zouma has no positional sense and can’t hold an offside line.

People slagged off Stones because he was another dope he made mistakes that cost us goals and never seemed to learn from it.

Same deal as Keane only loads better than him (obviously).

I just want some defenders who don't make mistakes all the time.

Don't agree with that, for me it is down to how they are being asked to play - zonal system??????

All are mate. At this point I’d put in Jagielka if he was fit FFS.

System is flawed but they’re just making basic mistakes.

Stones did think he was Cruiyf until Pep did tell him he was a defender . Keane is hopeless. He can play here in Luxembourg. And even here he wouldnt stand out.

I would like to see him get a run of games alongside Mina with Kenny at right back. Think it will be Keane and Zouma against City then hopefully Mina will come in after that. Keane actually played all right alongside Holgate but it was such a small sample it would be difficult to make a case. I feel Keane doesn't trust Zouma and it affects his decision making. Zouma has his pace to fall back on in an emergency where as Keane doesn't and I think it makes him more reckless.

Who is good enough to play centre half in an everton team challenging rhe top 6.

Keane is utterly paceless and God knows how he was recruited. Mina looks flawed and cant even be trusted in this team.
Holgate has proven time again nowhere near prem standard, Zouma should be 3rd/4th pick centre half in a decent team.

Again, Keane is fast pace-wise, but his reactions are sooooo slow. He's also been okay in the air, but for someone that isn't amazing in the open field, he better be DOMINANT in the air.

I hated getting him, never have been impressed by him, and think we need a more mobile CB next year to pair with Mina. One that has some testicles and can organize a defense. Someone with some real guts and athleticism.

It would also HELP if we had a couple decent defensive players in front of him. I'm sitting here watching Rodrigo and Thomas Partey just physically overwhelm anyone trying to get through the middle of the pitch and I had to watch Davies and Gomes - who was good, just not on the defensive end - play yesterday. We need to get much tougher, meaner, competitive, while obviously not losing any of the skill.
