He’s proving me wrong at the moment. I still feel like he’s not very good but the proof is in the pudding and he’s actually doing well at the moment so maybe I’m being overly harsh and this is the real him. Either way, I hope he keeps it up.

Same mate, gonna take a good whilst for me to forget that last season he had. Still get nervous anytime he's ran at

No idea why you wouldn't have been critical of him. He was getting beat 1 v 1 for fun last season. Looked like a pub league defender. I didn't know he was carrying a bad injury at the time. He was bloody awful last season though.

@Eggs will tell you. He's forgotten more football than I know.

...Keane was dreadful at times, there is absolutely no doubt about that. I have a view that Premier League strikers would seriously look forward to playing against him. He’s looking a lot more solid now, though, so fair play to the lad. I do think that’s lots to do with Zouma being very good at the things Keane is poor at (slow, poor powers of recovery, immobile, easy to run past).

Centre-Backs is all about partnerships and Keane is doing very well of late. Good on him. I’d still go Mina/Zouma, though.

....next week is a major test for him. I reckon Silva thought Mina/Zouma would be his pairing and is extremely surprised by his turnaround in form. My son sent me a message after the game yesterday; ‘Good 3 points. Keane terrific.’

Agree mate, if he plays well and confident in the derby, it'll be a watershed moment for me in terms of my confidence in him.

Anyone remember a season over season improvement this huge? We’ve all seen players have a shaky start or whatever but he stunk the place out for an entire season and is now boss!
Martin Keown. He got slaughtered. I think his turning point was some mickey mouse cup final when we played Palace at Wembley. I was there, he got battered by their strikers but was hard as nails. Never loked back after that game. Ive said on here before that I thought Keane had a lot of Keown about him. I'm stoked he is playing well, always thought he would do a Keown .

Has all the attributes to be a really good CB he just got destroyed last season because of what was around him. Now with his confidence restored I think he might eventually end up as captain. He just needs to work on his scoring from set pieces and he will be completely converted from last season's player.
