Current Affairs Met Police

This brief calling a press conference is all because they know they're going to court and it's not looking good based on the cctv evidence already in the public domain

Only my opinion, but I don’t think attacking the police and parading the two thugs in front of the cameras, like they are choir boys is a good tactic given the current climate.

Oh, so it WAS her Son that hit her in the face?

Thats what we call in the chess world as Checkmate, Mate.

Its desperate stuff from their solicitor

What he's saying doesn't match the published cctv information.

He said both men were compliant before the officer stamped on his head and the mother believed her son was dying as he was 'limp'. They claim the mother was then hurt.

He also shouldn't be calling a press conference given its going to court. I think he's going to try and claim they can't get a fair trial next. Him calling this press conference is the cause however and he should be sanctioned for it

Yeah its pretty clear what hes doing here.

Funny how he also picked to do just after the weekend riots.

But hey, THE PIGS or something.

The courts will be taking a very dim view of any potentially racially aggravated violent disorder at the moment

Also apparently GMP has said their is "insufficient evidence" for the prospect of a conviction over the earlier incident on the aircraft involving a Kuwaiti national and this mother

Given its an aircraft and they have names and seat numbers of people on board then this is extraordinary

"He said the family wanted to 'set the record straight' and provide context about what took place at the airport. Mr Anwar alleged that prior to the altercation involving her sons and the police, Ms Akhtar was racially abused on a Qatar Airways flight back from Pakistan.

A man sitting in the row behind had subjected her to a 'tirade of alleged racist abuse' and called her a 'P*** b****', he claimed. She was feeling extremely unwell and tried to move away from the man."

So, it seems so far that there's some racism involved (who knew) and thus far we have no idea if the alleged racist haseven been investigated, still what happened at starbucks and why did the pig scum track just this one brother down initially.

It's ok, you've seen the videos, mind seems made up.

No offence, but I find it hard to believe that someone on a flight from Pakistan would call a middle aged woman of Pakistani descent those words and it would not have kicked off on the plane itself.

One of the two links I posted says there's been 4 arrests. The two brothers is a certainty, possible rambo pig, who's the other?

People who were surrounding. Allegedly one of the police officers phones was dropped in the melee and it was picked up and not returned etc

I'm not commenting further as this is going to court. To be honest I think the CCTV in the public domain already speaks for itself already

This was a very violent assault and the police response was a response to the violence faced in an effort to subdue them as quickly as possible

If I acted in that way to police at the airport or elsewhere, I would expect a very severe response from them and I'm liable to get hurt due to my violence as they subdue me

It stands to reason

I also think this quote from the solicitor is absolutely ridiculous plus the claim "they didn't identify themselves". They were uniformed police officers and within seconds the two brothers were throwing punches the published cctv shows it

Could all be bogus, the story suggests she asked and was moved away from the man in question.
We need the starbucks fiasco and possible escalation.
We need to know who else has been charged.
We need to know if the body cams were all switched on.

damo - quoted for comparison.

It was apparently a Kuwaiti national involved but there is allegedly insufficient evidence

Their solicitor is blaming the police for this (insufficient evidence). It's likely this may be being investigated by another police force because of the IOPC involvement

Will anything that happened in Starbucks excuse the 2 scumbags attacking the Police or the Officer kicked Scumbag A in the head?

If...

...there has been some aggro in starbucks with the guy alleged to be harassing on the plane it could explain why the pigs turned up for the prime suspect whilst at the parking machine in the videos.

People do crazy things if/when their mar has been attacked.

No excuses for anything of course, report and let the law deal with problem characters.
