Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good evening folks. How is everybody especially you @larbert toffee. How's your Mum doing?
Not much to report today. Just made pasta and meatballs in a habanero chilli sauce. Spicy but lovely. Served with garlic bread.
Away to Liverpool on Saturday, looking forward to it.
As Kevin Keegan once said ..."I love it , absolutely love it when Mrs J puts loads of chillies in anything !"

Good luck with your visit. . I was in town today and it was looking mighty fine.

Popped down to BMD for a peek , its absolutely flipping shooting up.

Really Ange ? I started out very sad about the whole thing now I'm nauseated by the non stop reporting of absolutely nothing - and don't get me onto the monumental cost that all of this nonsense is costing us tax payers.

I will probably watch it Jazz. It will be almost impossible to escape it. And it is history. Havnt watched much of the coverage really, like you say, watching a car drive through Scotland aint exactly brilliant. But the coffin/parade from Buck House to Westminster was pretty impressive.

My garden will be getting a lot of my attention on Monday

I agree with you. I'm like a split personality. We've got loads of money in this country. They just don't choose to spend it on anything that improves the life of the ordinary people. I felt really sorry for the guardsmen carrying her coffin. How bloody stressful must that be? And when they took their hats off you could see how hot they were.

Well. I'm back home in Cornwall now. Been a long day and was happy to go around to the neighbours daughters for a roast chicken and 4 veg tea. (She's on a diet at the moment but a weightwatchers meal won't do me any harm). Managed to speak to my brother beforehand and luckily his granddaughters funeral is still being held on Monday so my travel plans don't need changing. Think my brother is relieved too as God knows how it would have been accommodated had it been cancelled. It's obviously an incredibly sad event that has prompted my trip up to Liverpool, but I'm looking forward to meeting up with family and friends again. It's bound to be another incredibly boozy week following on from the 2 week cruise so I think I'll be on the wagon when i get back.

Your food sounds great Anj.
Mum is bearing up thanks, my eldest lad is now down here so we were out for a family meal which was nice.
I'm returning home tomorrow.
On a more positive note my youngest daughter got a one for her masters at Ascot and will be starting her PhD at Edinburgh very shortly, we're all very proud of her.

Evening all, just popped in to say we’re back from York. Had a lovely time. Just going to catch up with the thread and then watch All Creatures Great and Small on Channel 5, Mr G won’t mind me switching channels he’s just fallen asleep watching West Ham. lol

Same mate going on the wagon for a while, six days on the bevie in Nashville is a bit much for an old fart, I think I’m 30 years younger when I’m out, took me 3 days to get over it, if you like your live music it’s a must, some unbelievable talented musicians

Good morning all on this dark and misty day here in Finland. So nice to have @Barnfred 55 back .Things will be a bit more lively now .I have had trouble with my IPTV which was my fault as it must be used with a VPN as it only works from New York ,so I decided to trial another and it has 17,000 channels from all over the world and everyone and more sports channels for any sport you can think of .It costs 30€ per year ,so I will see how he wants paying as it must be secure .
I cannot wait for Sunday and the match ,yes @jazzy I have seen the videos on youtube and it is growing so fast. I will be in the garden on Monday even if it is freezing .COYB
