Speaking of her husband, in both of the limited conversations I've had with him over the last week or so, he mentioned the possibility of them going on a cruise around September/October, but during both conversations he also talked about single supplements (that I would need to pay occupying a double cabin on my own). Now I have no idea whether he was implying that I may want to join them on the cruise and i certainly wouldn't want to presume as such. So I raised it with Michelle this morning, and she did say that it is something that they had discussed, but nothing more than that at this stage.

Anyway, following on from my earlier conversations with the husband I have looked at single supplement prices and there are some reasonable deals to be done. So I confirmed to Michelle that it is something that I am interested in and that I would have a look at some of the deals and let them know so they can see if any appeal to them. If so, then we could look a it. If not, no harm done. We'll see what develops. His brother is visiting from South Africa some time around the end of September, and they are planning to visit him in London, so they need to work around that.

No they have been on a number of cruises in the past Blue and are quite seasoned. One of them they went with friends so they have experience in that regard too. It's important that we don't live inside each other's pockets and that we have our own space. I'm absolutely fine with that. It's just a possibility at the moment and if we can't make it happen this autumn it's something that we can do in the future if the opportunity arises.

Anyway, she said to expect an invite to a barbie over the next few days once he has been able to acquire some more gas, so we can discuss it in more detail then. Plus we have our Queen/Fleetwood Mac tribute concert next Friday, plus the Red Arrows are here next Wednesday (weather permitting) so we'll have plenty of time to discuss things.

I shouldn't tell you this but..... when you walk into a forest there are often single strands of "spider's web " -they are not .What they are is an elaborate alarm system for the gnomes to ensure you never actually see them .I must have mentioned the book "Gnomes " which is written by a Dutch guy but has been translated in many languages . My wife who is 9 going on 67 has me read it every Christmas much to her delight with my pronunciation and misreading words -the Finnish language just adds on bits to a word and if you don't know the words you cannot read it with the proper intonation. But I digress there are many what we think are puddles in a forest but I am assured they are really swimming pools for the elves .
