Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Me and Mrs B were talking earlier about the time our daughter was high on ketamine when she was 12. She had spinal surgery for scoliosis/curvature of the spine and they gave her ketamine beforehand, which meant she was high when she came round post op.

She was singing a number of songs very loudly, such as Adele's Hello and a version of Abba's Mama Mia my son used to sing when he was little. It went "Mama Mia, I've got diarrhoea, plip plop, can you hear my poo drop?" Very loudly.
She was also calling literally everyone dude, including the consultant ("OK, dude") and kept shouting, "I like chickeeeen" at the top of her voice. She certainly kept the nurses entertained.
Hahahaha it sure sounds like great entertainment. Can’t even imagine being a kid and having to deal with such major surgery. By the looks of the X-rays it seems her vertebrae is in much better shape, so hopefully your daughter has been able to overcome the scoliosis.

She was so brave Sass. The consultant told her there was a one in 500 chance the surgery would leave her paralysed. A small chance, but still a possibility. There was another girl having the same op the same day, who was on her third attempt after backing out of the previous two at the last minute.

Afterwards, when a nurse asked her to wiggle her toes and whether she could feel her prodding her feet, I've never felt relief like it. Left me feeling almost dizzy.

I was so proud of her. She was only 12.

Sounds like she was very brave, no wonder your pride. Some kids can be so resilient that makes some adults feel feeble. How old is your daughter now?

Nice collection, which one is your favorite to drive?

Well, the most fun is the Peugeot 504 Coupe - no power steering but she gets the most head turns from people - not in that photo.

The most luxurious is of course the Merc.

The one with most heritage is the SD1 - originally owned by Harold Holdway who was chief artist for the Spode porcelain factory. Very low mileage for a 1978 car

The Daimler, when she is running properly, is by far the most powerful with those 12 cylinders, but she really drinks petrol.

I need to get them out again - this afternoon my wife has gone off in the Merc with my daughter and her cousins so she is getting a reasonable drive.

My everyday Peugeot is my second 508 - fabulous cars, not a classic yet but I predict they will be eventually - reliable, low maintenance, great fuel consumption averaging 54 mpg from new in nearly 5 years. Fuel costs have gone through the roof since this flipping war began

Now we need a pic of the Peugeot 504 Coupe ? The Merc is very nice and like your wife I would not mind taking that one out for a Sunday drive.

Happy Easter Mascoteers, hope the Easter bunny was generous.

I’m out people watching at the local for Celtic v Rangers. Amazing how that game seriously fires up people watching it.

Discretely checking the West Ham score every 30 seconds..
My daughter was wondering if the Easter bunny had visited our house even though we were at the beach lol

Have a great time at the Celtic vs Rangers game!

She was a Christmas present for my wife in 2020 - this video is from the dealer from whom I bought her

You must have been a very good hubby in 2020! That’s a beauty of a car, the only issue I see with it, is the color ;)
