Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I can sympathise with your hospital visit as I had (only) a week in recently. I found the main problem was the lack of sleep with all the noise and activity. I got moved to another ward twice, both times at 3 am. Food - very ordinary. I settled for sandwiches every meal!
Really hope you have better experience and are out asap.
Thinking about you. Keep strong.

Good that your day has improved as it has gone on mate. Nice that you got to see your sisters and hopefully you feel up to seeing a few more visitors over the coming days.

I’m a greedy so and so and just had to ask what the food was like ?. Just eat when you can mate but at all times make the most of the attention of the nurses.

All good at my end, that time of the week when my head is turning towards the game and the nerves kick in. UTFT!

U23s play tomorrow looking forward to keeping updated on that. Looks like I won't be able to watch United match cos I'm in here so will just have to watch the match thread in here.

I used to get a greedy so and so. Best thing about hospitals is the toast I was gutted this morning when I only managed half a slice.

The noise is absolutely the worst thing you literally have to grab sleep when you can. I hope all is now well? Yeah early hours do seem to be preferred moving times and you can guarantee you have just got off to sleep!!

Missing the United game may not be the worst thing. Ronaldo is due a farrow spell he says hopefully!

Tomorrow is a new day mate and the world is your toaster.

(apologies- runs)

I should have added that I was fortunate not to be in any pain, just some minor discomfort. You are obviously aware that taking too much morphine is not a good idea. I had a mate who was in hospital for a long time and was on morphine. (self administered) He had to be weaned off it. I had an infection which morphed into Sepsis so was in intensive care for the first 24 hours. OK now fortunately.

Yeah striking the right balance is always important enough to keep the pain away but not so much that you can't function properly.
I hope he's OK now.

I had a knee replacement about 12 years ago and on the first morning after the op they came around with the breakfast menu. I said 'just a couple of slices of toast please'. They said ''we don't do toast'. I asked why. Its a fire risk they said.

We are all one that's what being an Evertonian is that is why I love this site and its contributors.
One big dysfunctional family.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

Good to see you still in good spirits despite the crap you're going through every day.
Keep on being you pal.
You're a tower of strength and a big inspiration to a lot of folk. X
