Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

What a fabulous day of football yesterday.
I sometimes watch the RS if they play someone decent in the hope that they lose and out of curiosity turned on the TV yesterday and saw they were 2-0 up but immediately Gnonto got a pen and I decided to stick with it

Mon dieu how they have fallen , wonderful to watch but not quite as wonderful as our win against Dyche .

Fabulous stuff. Fifth , oh my God!

Good morning all. Greetings from a slightly hungover Mrs Ferrett in the Toby Carvery Aigburth, Liverpool ( more about that later).
I had the best time yesterday with my brother and cousins. We started in the Wetherspoons on James Street, which was packed but group of Evertonians on the way to the match gave us their table. We then went to a place called Nova Scotia for our Christmas meal. Very nice, and then we ended up in Bar One. How good were Everton yesterday. Two of my cousins are reds (I blame their Dads) so them blowing a two goal lead caused much mirth from the other six of us who have stayed true to the maternal bloodline🤣.
Much alcohol was consumed so I feel like I need breakfast and a walk by the river before I go home. Hence my current location. When I walked in I was surprised to see Father Christmas sitting in a corner. He waved at me,I waved back -it seemed the polite thing to do. Then I noticed Christmas crackers on some of the tables and the woman paying for her breakfast in front of me asked for five cups of milk. I am currently surrounded by a lot of very excited children having breakfast with Santa! This is not the restorative therapy I thought a full English and strong coffee would bring. They seem to be having fun though.
Off to see the Mersey in a minute- hopefully no sign of Santa!
Have a great day. Catch up later x

Hello everybody, I made it home through some really grim weather in Cumbria. It rained all the way and the A66 from Brough to Barnard Castle was thick fog.
Before I left I had a walk on Otterspool Prom. The Mersey was flat calm, very grey and the tide was out. I haven't been there since we sold Dad's house and I'm pleased to say it is still one of my happy places. I also had a sneaky drive past our old house - it hasn't changed at all on the outside apart from a Santa Please stop here sign in the front garden. Sweet evidence of the small child who lives there.
I got home to see the Brighton 'handball' goal that was given. How was that different to ours last week that wasn't given?
