Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi folks. How are you tonight @Val P . I hope you feel better. How is the babysitting going @Gwladysover ?
Its been a lovely day here - I've dug up my gooseberry bush and repotted it temporarily until I can get round to the new house and plant it.
How spawny are the RS. Two penalties!!! Hopefully we can get three points tonight. I loved Moyes comment that at 8pm on a Saturday he's usually a bottle of red wine down. I'm sure if we win he can catch up.
I've been thinking about tribute bands, I'm not sure I've seen many. I did see The Bootleg Beatles who were really good, and I've possibly seen Madness and Jam tributes at an 80s weekend in Butlins but much alcohol had been consumed so I'm not entirely sure - it could have been the real Madness and a non Paul Weller incarnation of of The Jam.
Have a good night and COYB!!

Babysitting is going well, thanks. Bathed and sitting on the sofa, hopefully their Kindles will keep them quiet for the rest of the evening, I can’t promise I’ll be quiet, Must remember not to shout at the telly and frighten the life out of them.😂

Thanks @anjelikaferrett , not much better sadly. Back to GP on Monday I think. 2 pens - unbelievable really yet quite believable at the same time. Fingers crossed 🤞 for 3 points x

I frequently mind my nieces. Both 5 years old but I can’t believe how different girls are to boys at that age. One of them has brothers and is body aware in knowing there is a difference. The other is a single child. The other week, we were all sat on the floor playing Chairs (a stacking game) and as single child leaned in to take her go, the other niece stood up pointing finger, ‘Pull your jeans up, I can see your booty’.

The poor child leaped up like she had been electrocuted, hitching the denim nearly to her chin 😀

Good morning all on this lovely day here .So sorry @Val P is still under the weather ,hopefully the doc will sort it on Monday .Well we have become predictable again. How he plays that Jesper beats me when he has other choices ,why do we play two wide men who couldn't cross the street ?
Everything is centred around feeding a through ball to Beto who has run dry and still tries the same way to beat the goalie ,sadly they all know now what he will do . We got perhaps more than we deserved but a point is a point .Have a great day all COYB

Congratulations on digging up and potting the gooseberry.

Morning Mascoteers,

Another stunning start to the day. Blue sky , bright sun and beautiful bird songs.........and Rosie barking her head off at any passers by 😂.

Courtyard cleanup day and then a sit in the sun.

Didn't watch last night's game but from what I've read it wasn't the best. However unbeaten in 8 and virtually guaranteed PL football next season . Moyes must be doing something right .

Anyway , have a lovely day everyone.

Evening everyone, peace is restored as our two houseguests have returned home. It’s been fun but I’m shattered. Jess and I had flapjacks baking in the oven and a Victoria sponge ready to go in by 9.45 this morning- thank goodness her sister decided to sleep in. Been to the park this afternoon, fortunately they are too old to be pushed on the swings so we just sat and enjoyed the sun.
We heard some sad news when our daughter came to pick the girls up. Their neighbour was out walking her little dog in the park yesterday morning when it was attacked and killed by a large dog (not sure of the breed) running off the lead. The owner was with dog and it took him ten minutes to get it off. The police were called but I’m not sure whether there was anything they could do. The owner said he’d only had the dog six weeks. Daughter’s neighbour is understandably beside herself.

That’s awful. People seem to be getting big dogs for home security but they aren’t strong enough to control them. A growing annoyance for me is dog walkers on their phones not looking as they walk and the dog jumping at people walking by. I like dogs but I’m not sure whether I can trust every dog jumping at me.

A long day for me. Weather , like elsewhere was beautiful and I was running the Inverness Half Marathon with the Capital of the Highlands bathed in sunshine , with Inverness Castle and the River Ness sparkling in that sun. As it’s not the watershed time yet I’ll refrain from posting the running photo of me in my vest and shorts 🙂.

And as I’m doing photos , yesterday we had a nice lunch in Portsoy , just down the coast. Peaky Blinder fans may remember that Michael Gray’s car was blown up in Portsoy in the last series, Nova Scotia I think in the episode. They’ve created a memorial to Michael!

You live in a very beautiful place, the pics are lovely and have signs of spring in them

Dog "walkers" on phones is a pet hate for me too AT.

In fact most of them just let their dogs off the lead , run around and 💩 everywhere . Not bothering to pick it up or be concerned if their dogs are worrying other dogs or people.

Good morning all on this drizzly one here . I hope all slept well and have a fine day today I was told a tale yesterday of a person in the UK who has a bad back ,not bad enough to stop them working but bad enough to qualify for welfare benefits ,who is "buying " a new car paid for by the government -who complains about the long waiting times to get medical care and says there should be more doctors !!!
It reminded me of the eighties /nineties when I realised that of all my local friends I was the only one paying taxes the others worked on the side -it was perfectly commonplace.
No wonder with that attitude the health system is under extreme strain .My wife heard the story and was so outraged ,it just doesn't happen here ,as far as I am aware .I think I stated that 85% of women work and just a bit more men and all pay taxes .
Moaning observation over Have a great day all COYB
