Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

On the plus side Moshiri must reduce his price or risk losing everything.
I don’t think Moshiri was smart enough to be just playing 777 for immediate funding although can understand that take. As you say he now either way has to deal with new buyers or risk losing it all in Administration. Our saving grace is that under no circumstances does he want that.

With only £55m left to pay on the stadium, we surely must be attractive to some savvy financier who knows how to get a tune out of us.

I also read that money is already sourced and ring-fenced, but I've learnt not to believe everything I've read. Staying in the prem next season was paramount to attracting an alternative buyer.

Agree with your earlier post though. 777 was never a buyer I wanted. Would prefer to avoid The Americans completely tbh. They have too much of a love affair with debt.

The last board, Kenwright in particular, was a lying self serving entity. They just told us what we wanted to hear so long as it protected their gravy train. To have actual competent, qualified people in charge will be a breath of fresh air.

True, but debt is not a sound underpinning of a business. As a banker I always found the most successful businesses to be those who were debt free or used debt sensibly.

We were never a legit business though in the sense of normal external investment etc. Had Ukraine never happened we probably would have been fine but sadly that tap was well and truly turned off. It’s no wonder we are in these difficulties when we lost virtually all our funding.

Does make you wonder what the Commercial Dept was doing all that time.

My lad got me a monthly subscription to some gin site or other. The first was a Devon Salcombe gin. Was very nice but I can’t really tell them apart to be fair
Nice and also expensive. They distill it on the latest P&O cruise ships. The London Dry gins are all similar, especially mixed with tonic. But most of these boutique gin distilleries have multiple flavoured gins that are more distinctive. You can tell the difference when you use more expensive tonic brands like Fevertree. If you have an expensive gin like Salcombe it's worth it IMO.
