Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yes they’ve announced it will be moved - I just hope it’s not moved to the last game of the season as I can just imagine Klopps last game, at Goodison, the media hype around that and the fact that you know we will just mess up as per usual - I can’t bear to think about that. I suppose they’ll just put it in midweek somewhere 🤞
You may depend some media type somewhere is already peddling that idea… Dear God NOOOO!

Great to see you're back posting T . Fingers crossed 🤞 that your headaches stay away or at the very least are manageable.
Cheers Jazzy. They're still pretty bad but I'm sick of them dictating my mood and keeping me from having a normal daily life, so I'm just sucking it up. I take far too many pain killers though but I have too when they get really bad. So hopefully I will continue posting more.

I see the Israeli army have opened fire on Palestinians trying to get food, 77 dead including aid workers and so far 250 injured. I hope this is the straw that breaks the camels back for Netenyahu, he is out of control. It's unreal how he's getting away with this. I really think the UN security council needs to change the way it operates. Why do Russia and America etc get to veto stuff when everyone else votes the other way.

Sorry, hope you don't mind that little bit of politics, not normally like me to post stuff like this but it's horrible, people starving to death is so wrong.

Yep, as it won’t be around much longer. I’ve been going for over 60 years, since the late fifties, first team, reserves (when they used to play their home games at GP), been in every part of the ground with my kids, wife and family members, seen us win 4 first Division titles and god only knows how many cup games. Always loved GP but I can’t wait to get the chance to get to BMD…sounds like heresy but life and football moves on…..
I’ve got lots of fond memories of GP , perhaps made fonder knowing I’m unlikely to go again. Over last 10 years or so though I’ve continually shaken my head when I see how other teams like , Wolves, Forest etc developed their grounds into modern stadiums with new stands , leaving us far far behind . It’s sometimes nice hearing “ The Grand Old Lady “ “ a proper football stadium “ phrases being used in a good way , and there’ll be lots of emotion in the next 18 months, lots of memories rekindled. Part of me still clings to the Everton of the past while knowing we really need to move on into the 21st century to be competitive.

Indeed, in its prime GP was the best club stadium in England but it’s now very tired and let’s be honest facilities are pretty poor. BMD will be magnificent and will be like entering another world…and I don’t care what anyone says about Moshiri, without him it would never have happened and I will always be thankful…..

Do you honestly think that BMD is a reasonable trade off for the years of turbulence and perilous position that we find ourselves in due to Moshiris incompetence and mismanagement Pete?

I regard that the incompetence was down to Bill and DBB. DBB was never qualified to be the CEO of a club of Everton’s stature. Moshiri provided the money, both for players and also the new ground. Obviously he made mistakes, but he kept putting money in, unfortunately Putin put an end to that (who, in whatever business forecast that one ?) and Manchester Police put paid to one of our better players. Moshiri is still there, Bill (R.I.P) and DBB are gone and without this P&S stitch up by the PL we would now be doing OK….

If you ask me, the really toxic energy started with Benitez, I don't think we've fully recovered from that, it was that which a lot of blues felt a disconnect with the club.

We need a new stadium just a pity it's happening when we are going through one of our worst periods in our history. Moshiri has done a lot of damage by not putting professional good quality people in his boardroom.

There isn't one single person to fully blame, a few of them toe rags have run us into the ground whilst taking some of the biggest salaries in the division.
