You arenāt mistaken - it was.If I'm not mistaken, the last game Karl got to was against Burnley and we won 2-1. Hoping for another win tonight on the anniversary of his passing.![]()

Make sure you wrap yourself up firstHello everybody. It's freezing here.
I'm working up to wrapping some more presents
Death does seem a more communal experience here as you say. Itās a hard one to judge though as for both of us it is just what you have grown up with and what you know.Very interesting point AT.
I live in a small village but despite that I suspect that there is Definitely less of a community feel in this country.
Of course you get pockets of it , as Fred has experienced in Cornwall , but generally I'd say that people are more insular and keep themselves to themselves .
Personally I prefer that . Don't know if I'm a typical Englishman but I don't like sharing my emotions / grief with strangers. I see that as a time for family but of course that just my point of view.
Hello everybody. It's freezing here. The heating is on. I've just sorted out our new gas and electricity prices. We've been on a fixed rate since September 2021 and it runs out at the end of this month. I've managed to find one that's only about £20 more per month than our current deal.
I'll be thinking of Karl while I'm watching the match tonight. This thread is a lovely legacy. I like the way people just come in and chat. It's great.
I'm working up to wrapping some more presents - it may take a while!
Have a lovely day all x

Haha. That's probably the one thing I don't missIt was fine actually. Only wasn't on here because Mrs J had such a long list of things for me to do lol.
This is so true- I have to go round on my hands and knees to get to the first chair or whatever that I can use to get up with.

Once again I thank Karl for changing more lives than he had fingers and toes .May he rest in peace .Sure we are all sad he passed but as said he would be so proud and I think humbled by this thread .
A thread he started but had no idea the friendships it would bring nor the respect on an otherwise hostile forum at times ,gladly and with thanks to all on here that respect has been one of the shining lights for us along with may I say love and care for each other with true genuineness .
As last year and the one before may I thank you all for being true blues . COYB
This is currently me.
