Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all. As you may have gathered the Liverpool trip has been scuppered. Went out to pack the car, all the locks were frozen solid. Got the boot open, put our stuff in and the boot wouldn't shut. The locking mechanism isn't working. It might still be frozen or it might be broken. I can't drive with it like that. So I've called the AA out - they said they could come out but couldn't give me a time. Last estimate they would get to me by 2.55.

Didn't think I'd hear you complaining about a kiss from the lead singer of The Red Rum Club Val😀

I too was very pleased to receive a video message from a band called Picture Parlour, who were second on my most played list. The two guitarists in the band are, how can I best put it, very yummy. Incidentally the band leader, Katherine Parlour, is a scouser and used to play for Everton ladies. She has the most amazing Janis Joplin style voice.
I’m just not used to being kissed by young men anymore 😂😂

is it a coincidence that you've been ill practically since you stopped your intake of alcohol?. Serious question. It's strange sometimes how your body can be affected by changes in habit and routine.
Interesting point. Hadn't considered it .
To be absolutely honest I really don't drink that much normally , maybe a couple of bottles of wine over a weekend.

Good morning all on this white day here in Finland .I hope all are well after a good night. It would be nice to hear from @Terrarian and @peteblue if only a nod and a wink .
More problems with the jag means she is getting shelved until the summer ,I bought parts from the UK which took an age to arrive but they weren't urgently needed .
I decided to fit them yesterday and they are the wrong ones ,so whether Ebay will allow a refund or not I don't know but the seller said "oh yes they are the wrong ones and we don't stock the ones you want.If there is anything else we can help you with just ask" despite my car being listed as suitable ,it could make you cry.
Have a great day all.COYB.

Hi Blue, sorry to hear more woe about the car. My wife and I are fine. I pop in here every now and again, but I’ve been doing a lot of running around taking friends to doctors and hospitals. I’ll try and get in more often. I hope @Terrarian and his sister have had progress with their dad…..

I have never listened to a song on Spotify. Heavens knows what a Wrap of it is. I get by with a crate of old LPs, and 3 draws of CDs. Nothing beats the crackle of the stylus on an LP on a record player before the music starts to me.

Two of my most cherished pressies that Nik bought me are the ^^^ said record player, and a Fender acoustic guitar. She knew I had given my lad my ancient but perfect acoustic guitar, @fandjango will know what I mean. (tone, warmth etc), and knew I had this crate of LPs.

Bless her cottons.
The funny thing about me and buying guitars is that perfect is all the things you mention ...plus how it feels on my body when I play it . The lovely vibrations ....I've played a few fender acoustics and they are good ... interestingly fender just created a brand new line if acoustics in a revolutionary style I'm off to play one soon and see what the fuss is about and can I build one

The guitar I bought, years ago, wasnt anywhere near being expensive, £60 rings a bell. But it just matured to sound perfect to me. Got it, and a black Jap Strat, (you will know exactly what I mean, one pickup, rocktastic) professionally strung etc etc and gave him both when he started to show some decent musical talent. Not sure if he took them to NZ; most likely at his Mums.
