Yes it's a different virus I think. I was virtually over the first one then all.3 of us went down with this.

Ooof, I had a viral chest infection in October , wiped me out for a while. I did an E- Consult on line with symptoms and Doctor diagnosed viral chest infection, gave me antibiotics and it cleared. Getting two viruses is tough on you ,hope you recover soon.

Morning all , bright but very cold here having dipped to about -7c in the night. I’m steeling myself up to go running in the footsteps of Kings this afternoon, well one King anyway. It’s the North Cross Country Championship at Gordonstoun this afternoon , I’m sure they had Charles running round the grounds a few times in his days there. Forecast is for” -3 , feels like -5c “ I can’t say I’m looking forward to it too much , but has to be done . At least watching Everton later should be easier !

Morning everyone

Survived the TT Xmas meal - good Chinese and a few Tigers - but had a terrible night .

Uncontrollable shivers, sore throat even worse and coughing.

Unfortunately I won't go to the dog show tomorrow, it would be crazy to stand outside in the cold all day feeling like this.

I have the pleasure of a fleeting meeting with @anjelikaferrett later but for her own good it will be at arms length.

Forest game later , could cheer me up or finish me off.

Didn't realise you were poorly again mate. At least you're getting it out of the way before your cruise.

So sorry you and the family are still feeling ropey, as others have said might be time to consult the GP, ours is pretty good at doing consultations over t’internet, save traipsing over to the surgery. @anjelikaferrett is sure to cheer you up later.

Morning all. My Spotify is heavily influenced by my son who shares my account. It was nice to receive a video message on it from the lead singer of Red Rum Club who ended his message by kissing the screen which was a bit startling first thing in the morning. I’m definitely an outlier on here with taste in music - I’m sure you would all cringe at my playlist. I use music to lift my mood and rarely enjoy songs that I think are depressing. I think dancing in the kitchen while I’m cooking is one of my favourite things .
Going up to a local Xmas market today for a couple of hours then back to watch the game. Still waiting for snow…..

I too was very pleased to receive a video message from a band called Picture Parlour, who were second on my most played list. The two guitarists in the band are, how can I best put it, very yummy. Incidentally the band leader, Katherine Parlour, is a scouser and used to play for Everton ladies. She has the most amazing Janis Joplin style voice.

Freezing cold and foggy here. Off to London Road this afternoon for the Posh match v Doncaster and surrendering to my advancing years will be taking a blanket also some of those hand warmer things to put in my gloves. Hope to be back in time to catch the second half of our game. COYB’s and COYB’s
