No need to feel terrible, it wasn’t you that made feel that way, I had second thoughts immediately after I posted and I realised that this was not the place for it. It was the fact that someone should be sacked over a ceasefire that made me lose faith, not anything you said.

Well, apart from the fact that it rained all day and all evening so no matter what we tried with stuffing the sodding bonfire with paper, boxes of fire lighters and gallons of petrol it would not light. However the fireworks were amazing, even if I say so myself, and the two lads helping me did a fantastic job. The kids and families all had a great time and the bars and BBQ were busy all night, the pub itself was absolutely rammed, as was the car park and smoking shed etc. I’m home now, shattered, sopping wet even with all my wet gear, the mud had to be seen to be believed and I could not get onto the field. Anyway, now showered and relaxing with a hot cup of tea and feeling warm again...a great night tbh…..
