Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Its a running, (true) joke that I am not that tech savvy. Nikki always dealt with it. So, the last week or so, for various reasons, I had to get a new laptop, new Sky stuff, and a new phone. All up and running !

But. The new Sky thingy gives me Netflicks, plus all sorts of other stuff, all for £40 pm LESS than we were paying. So thats cool.

Thing is, how on earth do you choose what to watch on Netflicks??? Its a bewildering choice.

What I don’t like about Netflix is that it doesn’t give you a blurb to read about what the programme is. It’s brilliant though and why not check out the TV Series thread on here mate.

Tell us what you type of thing you like and we’ll chip in with ideas. @COYBL25 will be invaluable here.

I am pretty easy to please. Sporting Docs are one thing I will search for, but I cant really think of a particular series or film I would decide I need to watch. Nik and I would watch repeats of Millionaire, Friends, and she had a box set of Scrubs, quite happily. Apollo 13 and Shawshank are my fave ever films, so they may be a go to.

Its mad when you reflect though. Turkey and Syria have fallen down, Ukraine is about get another kicking, that lass in Lancashire is missing, and I am posting about Netflix ffs.

I know mate. Just watching Turkey/Syria on the news now before heading to a game. It struck me how I didn’t want to leave the fire and go out then watch the news and realise how privileged we are in this quake free rich part of the world.

For Netflix, I suggest just searching Tom Hanks; Space; Stephen King and see what it brings you. It’s a leap of faith sometimes but you can always redo that search.

I managed to find the search function. That is , tech wise, me landing on the moon. So will watch C4 news, lob a steak, mushrooms, chips and peppercorn sauce on me lap, and enter this new world.

If you let people know what sort of stuff you like, they`ll recommend stuff for you.

Virtually everything that I watch now, comes from recommendations on here and they`re usually spot on.
