Re Ian Broudie, don’t think he ever gets the respect he deserves for his music.
Saw Broudie live once in his early days with a local band called Big in Japan. Probably the worst gig I ever saw. They had a (future) star studded line up of Broudie, Holly Johnson, Bill Drummond (of KLF fame) and Budgie (drummer and lover of Siouxsie) I guess it must have been before they learned to sing and play their instruments properly.lol

I have heard of Big In Japan but didn’t realise they had such a stellar line up.

I love how Broudie was the sole member of the Lightning Seeds for the first five years, yet people associate the name with a band.

For the recordings, he played mos if not allt of the instruments himself too, with it all mixed together.
