Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

On another note I passed the 5 year anniversary of being sober a couple of days ago. I am so pleased I proved everybody wrong. Nobody thought I could do it. I wasn't an alcoholic, I binge drank a couple of times a week on days off but I did like a bevvy. Just such a shame I am not a very nice drunk and really should have gave up years ago.

How ever as most of you know I recently got diagnosed with some personality disorders, it was always so easy to blame the alcohol for my f-ups, when in reality I had issues and all the alcohol did was loosen the belt on letting it all out. I seem to be moving slowly in the other direction now and getting help but I really do wish I had given drink up sooner.

Oh and I missed the game last night, forgot. We are struggling to score. We're solid but always under pressure because the forwards aren't good enough(wide lads anyway)
Well done. That's some achievement. Onwards and upwards!

I have heard some of his stuff, my brother was the one into Numan more but I got most of my musical tastes from my older brother, except dance music and rap lol I liked electronic stuff like OMD, Kraftwerk, Jean Michelle Jarre etc so I always gravitated towards trance/electronic music as well.

I think you will enjoy these Freddo very good clean sound, the only minor thing is some of the singers, who all have belting voices, also growl in sections, Athena doesn't but Lena and Morphide do. It doesn't really detract from the singing though, the girls have angelic voices as well as a guttural growl lol
Don't judge on his old stuff from the 80s (which I love by the way) that is played on mainstream. His stuff over the last 20 years is quite heavy . If you know the later stuff fair enough. If not, give it a go mate.

Here's a little taster mate. Not the heaviest example, but i like the idea that he overheard his 16 yo daughter writing music in her room and pinched it for his latest album. :p

Good that, I think they're lip syncing there so might try see it live. Got a good electronica sound as always with Numan.

Yes VTG do, I really like them and I love the diversity they have due to not having a nailed on lead singer.

Lena Scissorhands is vocalist for Infected Rain mainly and Death dealer Union(who also have a seas member in) Morphide has her own band so hopefully more to come from Athena. Mind you they have 2 or 3 other vocalists who perform with them.

here's another with Athena

Enjoyed that mate. Dare I say shades of Evanescence.

Enjoyed the Titanium cover too. Always enjoy a good cover, especially one from a different genre. Here's one of my favourite all time tracks played on a combination of ukulele's. Also seen a musical version played on cello's but can't find that.

Speaking of Amy Lee I had to show you this collaboration she did with violinist Lindsey Sterling T. I've actually seen Lindsey live when she was touring with Andrea Bocelli about 5 years ago. She's an absolutely stunning live performer. Her dancing whilst playing is unreal.

Awesome that, I do love her voice, when added to rock music there's something special about an operatic voice.

Well done mate, congratulations.

I see Truss has gone, how anyone can have any faith in any politician is beyond my comprehension. Look at how quickly they back stab each other in the game for leadership. This high stakes game they play with everyone else's lives. Broken, the world is broken.

We call people lucky enough to have a lot of money "elites" it's disgraceful. They make rules and legislation that impacts the poorest and most vulnerable in society yet we continue to vote for the same two parties, who can't even agree with their own. Shambles.

Well done in cases of too much it is never easy ,it doesn't need to be an addiction to be a problem .I am proud of you and i am sure many others are too.

Well I am surprising myself today because I am quite interested in following the latest news from Downing street ,only from a comedic point I hasten to add .You simply could not write this ,no one would go for it . A complete and utter farse ( that was not a spelling mistake ) I now feel have the chance to apportion blame ,it is your fault ,yes all of you who live in the UK ,you keep supporting this archaic system of "roundabout " ,Sir Keir Starmer has just been on the beeb and all he said for those who missed it amounts to this -"I will say whatever I have to to get my rear end on that seat " and he cannot believe his luck .
But please the voters in the UK do not let this continue ,vote ,don't think others will do it for you and vote for what you know makes sense .That in my opinion is a coalition don't go through the stupid power struggle to warm a seat go for a government that will work.
