Transferred to Toffeeland sometime down the road after this blockbuster. Thing is he scored lots of goals for the Tangerines but having the cameras there that day made a big difference. Put the Irishman from Chorley out there. Eventually Everton took him for a big fee. As they did the immortal Bally some 10 years or so earlier (we wuz robbed!) Toffees got a bargain with Ball not so much with Mickey.

I was disappointed he didn't make more of a career with EFC.

It was a step up in class that he wasn't ready for I'm afraid. Everton took a punt on the lad and unfortunately it went down.

Mickey is in the BFC hall of fame as one of the heroes of the 70s.

Morning all.

Well , off to Greece next week so 2 days solid of gardening whilst Mrs J rests her ankle.

Great result for us yesterday but it's for nothing if we don't put points on the board.

We should now have enough games and hopefully performances to at least get us above Burnley. A win today would be a massive step .

A big win for City would be good too to rub the RS noses in it.
