Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

OK @Sassy Colombian Here we go. The Cabin was a legendary night club in Liverpool, had been run by the same family for years. The music was boss, none of the posey disco stuff where the beautiful people frequented. It was an absolute dump. you did stick to the floor when you went in and it was probably a fire trap. The main dance floor was in the basement, if it had ever caught fire you would have never got out. Much loved by police officers who would finish their shift at 11pm and go straight there. I did once meet the Wigan Athletic football team in there on a night out. They all had their club blazers on and looked so out of place. Probably 4th Division at the time. It was said if you could not pull in The Cabin you might as well give up and go home. I could not possibly comment on that lollol The ladies loos at the end of the night were carnage, full of very drunk Scouse girls either pissed, crying or seeking advice as to whether she should go home with the bloke she just met about 10 minutes ago. Also a few completely passed out lasses in there as well. Utterly brilliant nights out. You got a lollipop on the way out.

Pork scratchings are disgusting but after several drinks they become strangely desirable. "Pork scratchings are a centuries-old popular snack made by frying the pork skin taken from the pig's shank (top of the pig's hind leg). Scratchings are cooked once, meaning they are harder and crunchier than their porky cousins." You can break teeth on them and occasionally find one with a random bit of pig hair on it. Honestly horrible but irresistible when bevvied (unless you are veggie) Never eat when sober.

I've had a lovely night. Much beer consumed, stayed in one pub, the world put to rights and much laughter.
I have a feeling @COYBL25 will love this post too. The Cabin, like the Raz, was an institution: rough and ready; no thrills; always absolute mayhem.

Also the Cabin and the Razz combined, have to be responsible for more marriages than anywhere else in Liverpool.

The amount of people I know, both sexes, who met their long term partners in one or the other of the two clubs is untrue.

I bet combined they also have a large responsibility for the GUM clinics patients on a Monday morning. If you can’t be safe, make sure you enjoy it.

I vividly remember a scabies epidemic that did the rounds one Summer.

Half of the Cabin and the Razz, where stood there at the bar, scratching like flea ridden dogs lol

* me included :oops:

Afternoon folks. Managed to get up and do overtime. Felt a bit delicate but powered through with the help of Mr Bowie and Mr Mercury. It's a glorious sunny day here in the north east. Did the weekly shop - rock n roll lifestyle. Went to Lidl instead of Tesco for a change. Now in need of a sleep. ?

Burnley result going our way at the moment, not doing their goal difference any favours either. Fingers crossed this keeps going and we can get something tomorrow.

Hope you are all having a lovely day

Happy Saturday friends.

Aston Villa is beating Burnley so this is the sort of results we need this weekend, along with a win for us tomorrow and we could be on our way to salvation ????

Got up early and made it to the gym so I can now treat myself to one of my favorite weekend breakfast: huevos rancheros. It is a black bean cake top with fried eggs, served with fried potatoes, chorizo and tomatillo sauce, topped with queso fresco. So yummy and fulfilling after a very strenuous weigh lifting session workout ?️ so I deserve it. One of my friends who has chickens gave me a dozen so they’ll make our breakfast even tastier. Aren’t they so colorful.

It is cloudy here today but we are still going to go for a bike ride with Sofi and Mr. Sass, then later this evening we have a birthday party celebration at my nephews house so it should be a fun Saturday for us.

Best wishes to everyone today. May you all also have a beautiful day. Xxx
