Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I bought some Ras el hanout yesterday to do a lamb tagine as I just haven't quite got the taste for middle eastern /north african food yet and want to give it another try .What was it Einstein said " If you do the same again and again but expect a different result ! " I am the same with sushi ,I just don't see the point of all the fuss -it is just raw fish with three different flavours . So have you tried any Tagine type stuff ?
Yeah I've made a few. Harrisa sauce is what you need if you can get it. You don't need much. Dried fruit like sultana and apricots and also some chickpeas go well with a tagine.

Ras el hanout is nice on lamb or pork done on a barbie.

Saw the specialist today at Windsor Hospital. Got more info on where we are. Due to my 'heart failure' condition, they wont do chemo or an operation though radio therapy is an option. Under the circumstances he has given me 2 years which takes me to 88, Can't really complain - good run. Just hope that Everton aren't in the Championship when I depart.

Of course we are all sad to hear your prognosis ,this is life sadly but it seems you are at ease over it and that makes me so proud of you .No one knows when but if they give a time they see so many cases it is usually quite close ,my old mate called Fred Jones was around 83 when they gave him 3 months and they were spot on .
I do hope you don't suffer too much pain and they show the respect you deserve and I for one will be alongside you on the way .Stay strong my friend .
How is the good lady ?

Terribly sorry to hear that news.

I don’t know what to say other than I am so sad to hear this. We are all with you and Mrs. M. Best wishes?

Many thanks blue1948. We don't know yet about her indoors as she has refused any treatment but I guess not as long as me.

Really sorry mate, you're showing a remarkably stoic nature in the face of such news.
Hopefully Everton give you something to smile about. We're all thinking of you and the Mrs.

Difficult news to process along with the rest of the body blows thrown at you recently.

Nothing else you can do but be stoic and brave but that is something you do not need lessons in Sir.
