Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Sorry not been on much today. Had a couple of appointments to keep and also fell asleep on the sofa again.

Palliative nurse came she's just going to keep me on a watching brief for the time being.

The ultrasound was good as there were no blood clots in my left leg which was the worst of the legs. I'm still going to need to careful but at least there is no immediate danger.
That all sounds quite positive Messy. Just keep on taking every day as it comes. All you can do really.

Mixed emotions today. Gave Cal a great send off. Great turn out with lots of old faces. But a touch of reality bites when it sinks in she isn't going to be about anymore.

Anyway deffo a lot more laughing than crying today which is how she would have wanted it

Glad everything went well today mate, it must have been tough though. Hope you had a good time telling and sharing stories about Cal. Cal would have been proud of you today holding it together and giving her a great send off - may she rest in peace. Good night and God bless mate. ?

Glad to hear she had a great send off mate, and great that it went the way she would have wanted it to be.

I did think about you at various different times during the day. That's all the really hard parts done for now. If there was plenty of laughter that's also a positive it will help with the grieving process. The new reality is whatever you make it hopefully it will have many more happy moments for you. Its always difficult in these circumstances catching up with people but no doubt they will all have had a story or 2 to tell. Now hopefully you will get a good night's sleep and be ready for what the world throws at you.

Yeah id go the exact same as you mate. Glad Ritchies back, it was an eyesore watching Rondon lately. Would love Gbamin to be as good as we thought when we bought him. Doucoures injury definitely gives Gbamin the chance to show us what hes got. I think we'll all despair if he gets injured again though. Id love Tom to prove his doubters wrong and finally seize his chance he needs confidence and a run of games and identify a role for himself whether hes a dm or an old fashioned cm. 4-0 tomorrow.

I've been desperate for Gbamin to come on in every game he's been named sub. I wanted him to be either the 3rd midfielder or someone who could rotate with Doucoure and Allan. If we get 65-70 minutes out of him even if he's just steady away I'll be happy. He won't be as mobile as Doucoure but I think he will have better passing so it will give us different options. It would be good if Davies plays well as he has become a bit of a target for the crowd. I see him more as a CM but because of his lack of mobility can only really play in a 3. Now Onyangio is back if these injuries don't improve he may get a chance. Richarlison through the middle will pose so much more of a goal threat than Rondon did.

Glad everything went well yesterday. Post funeral can be a difficult time, so keep yourself busy, and if you ever need to talk just pop in here. Although we're all on here at different times of the day, there's bound to be someone around before long.

Good to hear that things went well. As others have said the post funeral time can be difficult so make sure you look after yourself. We are all here for you.?

Morning Messy. Hope you had a better night's sleep last night. Hope the Blues put on a good performance for you today and you get your wish to see Gbamin play.

Morning Messy, how was your night? Hope you got a good rest. Hope we get a great performance and three points today. ?

It was a better night's sleep last night. I'm meeting a couple of cousins for coffee and a crack later so will probably miss 1st half of the match. They couldn't make last weeks get together so sorted something just the 3 of us. I'm ready for whatever today throws at me have a good day everybody.

Morning mate. Good to see you got a better sleep. How are you watching the match today?

Going to watch it with a few mates at a local club on some dicey stream. Got a bad head this morning though so not sure whether I'll be drinking today.

Let's hope we pick up full points after last week

Plenty of water down you and a cooked breakfast if you can to steady the ship.

I think we must get the points here as there won’t be many weaker teams coming to Goodison this season.
