Mate.
I wouldn't play 3 at the back full stop, or at least not until all of our players are comfortable with it
Morning Messy. How are you doing today.?
Looking forward to the game?
I'm good thanks had a decent sleep will being going to see my sister, nephew and nice later. Will have to make sure I go either before or after the match. I don't like chatting to people whilst we play.
I'm not 3 at the backs greatest fan either but do think it's a useful tool to spring an occasional surprise on opponents. For it to work properly though you need a right footed RCB who has knowledge of playing RB and a left footed LCB who has knowledge of playing LB. The middle player needs to be comfortable on the ball as he will be the one who brings the ball out.
On a squad point of view l believe you should have 25 players. 2 players in each position for your preferred formation and the extra 3 should be a GK, versatile defensive player, versatile attacking player. I don't excel all back ups to be brilliant but they should be able to be trusted to do a job. Look at our squad now poor Jonjoe Kenny has people playing out of position ahead of him in the queue.
The problem we've had recently is too many managers and too many philosophies. As much as I dislike the current manager I do believe if he stays he will get us organised.
