Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

On this special day for the Irish I thought I would share a glimpse of our cathedral city. Below is St Patrick’s Anglican Cathedral, site of his first church in 445:

Just half a mile away is the RC St Patrick’s Cathedral. You can’t see it but my school is just to the right of it. It was common for us to see Cardinals O’Fiaich and Daly around the school as they literally lived next door to us.

Lastly is such a beautiful photo of both together. Every year as part of our festivities there is a walk together from one to the other, Catholic and Protestant together, to share our Saint. A simple gesture but very powerful over the years.

What lovely photos. Very atmospheric.

Good morning everybody. It’s supposed to be really nice today, sunny and getting up to approx 19 degrees C. Tuesday was a lovely day so I’m looking forward to it and perhaps walking my wife around the garden. 😊. Speak to you all later…
A little fresh ir is good for us all Pete . I hope Kay is as well as can be .

Good morning all on this cloudy day ,off to the dentist as moral support for the wife ,an old filling decided to part company and needs replacing .While there I am of to a shoe shop for a pair of Mendl wide fitting shoes .One thing about here is we don't have the proliferation of suppliers that you lot have in the UK so for hiking boots in wide fittings we have but few shops scattered hither and thither ,I have though found a place selling same shoes at discounted prices so I am just finding the best fit ,you can take the lad out of scouseland but...........I couldn't find the rest in rhyme .
Have a great day all COYB

Morning Blues. Well I never got to take Kay out afterall. Our electricity was off all day until 6pm, but Kay seemed very settled as a result. Maybe I’ll switch it off everyday. I hope life is good for you all and that you have wonderful day. It’s back to trying to get some sleep for me before doing the exact same things that I have to do every single day. This is as good as life gets these days, but I can’t complain as Kay and I have enjoyed a wonderful life together in what will be our 54th year of marriage in August…..

Good morning, Pete. First time direct Interaction with you and just caught up on your story (and that of Kay's). You're doing a remarkable job but I imagine you don't see it that way and it all comes off 54 years of marriage and devotion to one another....in fact, that alone is the remarkable thing given today's marriage attrition rates (my own, unfortunately, included in that). Keep the faith, fella. And also take time to look after yourself.

So sad that the regime is affecting you Pete ,you must do something new whenever you can ,I know you can crosswords ,jigsaws ,something to take the tedium out of your love for Kay ,this should not be a punishment just the trial .How you with your own problems ? Any news for us gossips ? Stay strong that man .

Good morning all on this miserable one here . Off to the shops to pick up a new Microwave ,we only got twenty years out of the last one ,funnily enough I got no reply from the manufactures when asked for them to service it for free !
Have a great day all COYB
A bit of a night for Chelsea ! and Newcastle ,Mr F will be a bit thorny today I suspect .

Morning all, another lovely morning after a frost last night. We are awaiting the arrival of the dachshund then hopefully taking her for a walk in the country as road works are taking place round the corner and peace has been shattered. Hope you are able to get out with Kay today @peteblue.
Hope everything is well with you @Val P and @Barnfred 55, no need to reply just to let you know you are in my thoughts.
Here’s a pic I took yesterday of my friend’s magnolia. Have a good day, all.💙
