Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, hoping @anjelikaferrett and @Barnfred 55 are feeing a bit better today. It’s another glorious day - sadly the rain didn’t make its way to us from Ireland. The garden could really do with it, especially @jazzy ’s beautiful garden which we had the pleasure of seeing on Monday afternoon. Off to fracture clinic this afternoon in Southport which I’m sure we’ll turn into a nice afternoon out if we are not waiting too long to be seen. Not building my hopes up though.
Hope everyone has a lovely day 💙
Hope you got on okay at the fracture clinic and the wait wasn’t too long.

Hi all. I went to the GP yesterday afternoon and got referred to A and E for X rays on my neck, wrist and shoulder. Five hours later I got home - no fractures detected so that's good!
I'm still stiff and sore. I've decided to stop off work for the rest of this week and see how it goes.
I might go swimming tomorrow - a bit of non weight bearing exercise could be good.
Still sunny here - Mr F in the doghouse for not watering my plants.
Have a good day x
Glad to hear no bones broken. Take it easy and get well soon.

“Zombie “ passed me by at time and I guess for many years, until the Irish Rugby fans started singing it , then it hit more prominence as the Irish song at the Rugby World Cup in 2023. The South African fans adopted their own version at one stage , but then the arrogant Saffas are the rugby fans equivalent of Kopites 🤷‍♂️

Here’s a short version.

They played it during the Cape Town Sale Sharks game I went to when I was in South Africa, and all the crowd were joining in. It was most unexpected at the time but it makes sense now. This live version from Paris is one of my favourite live performances of any song. AT may enjoy this.

Were you wearing a blue polo shirt?
There's no fooling our H. I bet you didn't even spot him. You just guessed he'd be wearing a blue polo shirt.
I now have a picture in my mind of G studying that video forensically like a super sleuth for 3 hours until she catches a flash of grey / white hair and announces......"Got him !" Like the Mounties , a Viking always gets their ( old ) man lol

For me that’s their best song. I never actually saw them once over the years which was a shame. I remember throwing a strop because I wasn’t allowed to go to this with the older lads I used to hang about with. What a line up now I see it again

Thank you! Only 4 others there when I got there - genuinely cannot complain about waiting times for appointments- heaven forbid the NHS is getting more efficient- what will people complain about 😂. Maybe it’s just Orthopaedics.
Good news for me, it’s a small fracture of the head of radius which needs one more week in a sling then I have to start moving it. Physio appointment booked, follow up in 6 weeks - happy days.
Glad to hear no problems for you @Barnfred 55 , and so pleased to hear you’ve no fractures @anjelikaferrett - the rest of the week off sounds sensible and both of you take it easy.

Some line up that mate. Think had you gone it was a little bit early for Zombie anyway.

It was written about the Warrington Bomb in 1993 so it may have been road tested at Feile then but I’ll never know. It does somewhat divide opinion in Ireland but for most it is now just a sporting anthem. Even Rory McElroy’s fans sing it to him now 😀
