Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all,

Proper grim this morning, I sound like a broken record but I am fed up to the back teeth of rain.

I have a question. If I was to get a Thai takeaway, won't be for a while though, has anyone a recommendation that isn't red or green curry? Not too spicy either my spice tolerance seems to have nosedived for some reason. I want to try different cuisines but I have no clue what to order for most of them.

Have a good day.
Hope the weather clears up soon, the constant rain is enough to get anyone down. Thai stir fry noodles aren’t too spicy, obviously I pick the veggie option but there are meat recipes too. I can’t take highly spiced food either, one of the joys of getting old. lol

In my experience T Thai curries really aren't very chilli hot / spicy. You'll be fine with a green curry. Ne and Mrs J love them.

Yellow curry may be the very boy for you if you want something not too spicy.

Or how about Pad Kee Mao noodles but ask for it mild?

Only because I have had those before jazz, I want to branch out a bit lol I do like a green curry especially, nice and coconutty for me.

@blue1948 thanks for that, I'll have a read.

Thanks @Armaghtoffee not heard of either of those so could be a starting point.

I used to be quite good with spice, I could handle up to a Madras kind of heat but I'm finding spices a bit hot these days for some reason.

On a brighter note, the UN security council has finally demanded a ceasefire with only US abstaining. The US and Russia point scoring against each other recently has been embarrassing while massacres continue.

When Trump is warning you about your media image then Israel should be asking itself some serious questions.

Another mates wife died at the weekend, collapsed suddenly with no pain, looks like bleeding in the brain again. These last couple of years have just been one funeral after another…it wears you down tbh……
You have been on a very bad run of bereavements Pete. In this case, one solace is that it seems to have been quick for the Lady.

As you all know I am not big on politics or religion ,I recently watched "One life " a film about jews in the lead up to the second world war with Anthony Hopkins .Forgive me but what the jews are doing seems very much like what happened to them themselves not as big a scale but the same mentality .
If I am wrong then I apologise but from where I am sitting !
