Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Decent enough performance last night ruined by the injury to McNeil and the diabolical decision to line DCL. VAR has now become the safety net to ensure the ‘right’ result rather than be the reassuring second eye it was sold as. Corruption in plain sight.

Hopefully Danjuma and Dobbin take the opportunity presented and stake a claim for a starting jersey.

Thanks , Blue. Reassuring to know and obviously more common than we realised.
I don't want to go on but when I was diagnosed I had already been told many years before about my high cholesterol so I had a blood pressure monitor that I used odd times and then for a week twice in the morning and twice nightly every six months ,I had noticed a heart sign on the top line but took no notice of it just the B.P. that it turned out was an arrhythmia warning ! It seems most people who have it have no idea that they have .

Good day all on this cold day here in Hyvinkää -26° yesterday and -47.5° in Lapland ,sadly there was an avalanche a few days ago and a mother with her son were killed ,they only found the son this morning he was under ten years old .
I hope all are well and had a good night after the result which although only a draw was as good as a win with what went on on the pitch ,I agree with @Armaghtoffee it is becoming blatantly obvious now that it is a tool for the sky six ,I have to agree with Sean as well about this monitor lark it is a farce .COYB

Don’t think you are going on, he’s interested to hear about your experience and thanks you for sharing. The GP said his heart sounded fine (apart from the skipped beat) and blood tests came back clear so been prescribed blood thinning medication as risk of stroke is slightly higher apparently, apart from that he’s been told just carry on as normal.

That's good to hear.

Hi folks. A bit of a rubbish day all round. Mr F got laid off today. We've been here before quite a few times over the last three and a half years since he lost his permanent job during lockdwon. A series of temporary jobs, employed via agencies. It's really rubbish but unfortunately it seems to be the way the manufacturing industry is these days - especially when you are Mr F's age. Being philosophical there are far far worse things that could happen. If the worst comes to the worst, he could claim his pension a couple of years early and maybe try to get a part time job. I could go back full-time, we've still got loads of overtime so the wolf isn't at the door yet - he's a very long way down the back garden. lol

No plans this weekend other than the gym and overtime on Saturday and Sunday. I might join you on the Pinot tonight @Val P and @Barnfred 55 . I'm also still furious about Dom being sent off. I would just love one ref to have the bottle to say, when called to the monitor, thanks lads but I'm sticking with my original decision.
Anyway have a good night x

I’m so sorry to hear this, I hope some opportunities come his way and sometimes surprising things happen when you least expect them. It must be very disheartening for you both 💙.
believe it or not it’s the first time I’ve had Pinot and it’s really nice - going down far too well, so it’s going to be an early night when I’ve polished off this bottle- or a hangover as I open another 😂.
im still fuming about last night too. Did you hear Neil warnocks comments earlier- that was v interesting wasn’t it. Good to see the club has appealed but I’m expecting zilch.
cheers 🥂
